Initial Sketches

Project Brief: Choose two things you like doing, think about visual signs and symbols that succinctly convey these activities, combine the signs and symbols into a single logo for your very own “secret society” that’s dedicated to pursuing these combined passions using only black and white.

For my secret society logo, I chose to challenge myself and combine ceramics with karaoke. Through research, ideation, and production, I sketched and hand rendered various logos that met the project brief. After much critique I was able to create a final logo and three size variations for different usage. I used a serif typeface in order for the logo to look professional and I used a banner to mimic the look of family crests and other secret society logos.
